This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all treks, trips, expeditions and services booked with Trishul Adventures. We understand that plans change — this policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and the on-ground partners (guides, drivers, hotels and porters) we have already committed to on your behalf.
1. How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected], with a copy to our WhatsApp at +91-82404-85234. Cancellations are considered effective only from the date and time we acknowledge the email in writing.
2. Cancellation by the Participant
Refunds are calculated on the total trek/trip cost paid (excluding any payment-gateway charges and applicable GST), as per the schedule below:

Refunds will be processed within 15 working days from the date of cancellation acknowledgement, to the original payment source.
3. Trek Voucher Option (Recommended)
Instead of a cash refund, you may opt to convert your booking into a Trishul Trek Voucher equal to 100% of the amount paid. This voucher:
- Is valid for 12 months from the original date of departure.
- Can be used on any Trishul Adventures trek or trip.
- Is transferable to a friend or family member.
- Can be combined with other vouchers, but cannot be encashed.
4. Cancellation by Trishul Adventures
In rare circumstances, we may be forced to cancel a trek or trip due to:
- Insufficient minimum batch size.
- Adverse weather, road blockades, landslides or natural calamities.
- Unforeseen government or military restrictions on the route.
- Any other force majeure event.
In such cases, you will be offered:
- A full refund of the trek/trip cost paid (excluding non-refundable government permits, train/flight tickets and payment gateway charges); or
- The option to reschedule to another available departure of the same or different trek; or
- A 100% Trishul Trek Voucher valid for 12 months.
5. Cancellation Mid-Trek
If you choose to leave the trek mid-way for any reason — personal, medical or otherwise — no refund will be provided for the unused portion. Any additional expenses incurred for descent, transport or accommodation will be borne by you.
6. Force Majeure
Trishul Adventures shall not be liable for any losses, expenses or damages caused by force majeure events including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of war, government restrictions, road closures, strikes or any event beyond our reasonable control.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Payment gateway and bank transaction charges.
- GST and other applicable taxes already paid to the government.
- Inner Line Permits and forest entry fees once issued.
- Train, flight or any third-party transport tickets booked on your behalf.
- Insurance premiums.
8. Rescheduling
You may reschedule your booking to a future departure of the same trek/trip free of charge if requested at least 21 days before the original departure date. Reschedule requests within 21 days will be treated as a cancellation under section 2.
9. Refund Mode
All refunds will be processed to the original payment source. We do not issue cash refunds. Bank or UPI refunds are typically credited within 7–15 working days; card refunds may take up to 21 working days depending on the issuing bank.
10. Disputes
Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
