Our Story

A Trek That Started a Company

Trishul Adventures began the way the best stories do — on a trail.

Founder Binoy Barai first fell in love with the mountains on a Kedarkantha trek — it was the same trail where he met Supriti, now his wife and the driving force behind Trishul's operations. They bonded over snowy ridgelines and shared dinners around camp stoves, and a few seasons later, the same mountains brought them back to Triyuginarayan Mandir, where they were married.

That story is the heart of everything Trishul does today: real people, real trails, real care. Binoy is a former East Bengal U-19 footballer turned full-time trek leader. Supriti supports the business alongside her banking career — bringing calm, organisation and sharp operational instincts to every season. Together they have built one of Kolkata's most trusted Himalayan trekking companies — one that puts trekkers, leaders, and the mountains themselves before everything else.

Most of our treks are capped at 13–15 trekkers. You're a name on our list, not a number on a spreadsheet.

Founder & Lead Trek Captain

A former East Bengal U-19 footballer who swapped the ground for the Himalayas. Binoy has personally led trekkers across Kedarkantha, Kashmir Great Lakes, Hampta Pass, Sandakphu, Bali Pass, Annapurna Base Camp and dozens more. He's known on the trail for his infectious energy, his food (yes, his food), and treating every trekker like family.
